Many of the brethren who attended the Annual Communication of
Grand Lodge noticed signs, cards and name tags bearing the
inscription “G-15.” Many of these same brethren asked the
question, “What’s that all about?”
The G-15 is a group of 15 “newer” Masons from around the
Grand jurisdiction who have been brought together by M.W. Bro.
Ray Daniels under the auspices of the Grand Lodge Committee on
Masonic Education. Their aim is to promote engaging and
educational lodge meetings in every district.
The group’s pilot project is “Lodges of Discussion” at
which a topic is presented and the brethren in the room are
invited to reflect and to participate in an active conversation
in order to assist one another in coming to a greater
understanding of our Craft.
Wellington District has a member in the G-15; W. Bro. Greg Insley. This Brother, in conjunction
with the DDGM will be traveling around Wellington District in
the coming year to promote the G-15 and the “Lodge of
Discussion” project.
